Kristofer Forsmar from toAgree Scandinavia, Swedish based Global Sourcing and Supplier Development consultancy, contacted CLT to work on improving his Business English skills.
Kristofer’s attention to detail and emphasis on providing his clients with a world-class consultancy service prompted him to arrange a week’s 1-1 Intensive Business English Course in the Peak District. We ensured the course would achieve Kristofer’s objectives by getting a deep understanding of his job and the areas where he needed to improve through a series of phone calls with him.
His English skills were already at a high level so the tailor-made training programme ensured that Kristofer worked on those aspects of his business English skills which he felt still needed some attention, such as presentation skills and advanced business terminology. He even managed to fit in a few games of golf in his spare time which were all organised and hosted by CLT at some of Derbyshire’s most stunning golf courses.
As well as time spent in the classroom, our delegates also have the opportunity to further improve their English skills through a relaxed social calendar organised by CLT. Friends and families of CLT host our delegates on activities include sporting activities, theatre trips, sightseeing, shopping and going out for dinner.
Our delegates stay at and have their business English lessons at the New Bath Hotel and Spa, Matlock Bath where they can feel relaxed in their comfortable and luxurious surroundings.
The week was such a success that Kristofer intends to book a further week’s English training in 2019, commenting ‘Thanks for everything, it has been a wonderful week and I look forward to coming back next year.’
Red Bull
Red Bull Air Race pilots Nicolas Ivanoff and Sergey Rakhmanin studied on a two-week Intensive English Language Course with CLT in the Peak District, specially designed to include media and communication skills. Their English language course covered mock press interviews which were recorded in the training room to improve their interview techniques when dealing with members of the press after competitions.
Red Bull Air Race were so impressed by the improvement in the language skills of Nicolas and Sergey, that they recommended CLT intensive English language courses to their other pilots. The following year, Brazilian aerobatic ace Adilson Kindelmann also enjoyed two weeks in Buxton on an intensive 1-1 English language course. As always, our English lessons for overseas delegates include a full social programme, which Nicolas, Sergey and Adilson took full advantage of in order to make further progress in their social English.
Vietsovpetro
Companies from around the world are sending their key executives to take part in CLT intensive Business English language courses. Senior managers and engineers from the Vietnamese oil company Vietsovpetro improved their English language skills when they spent nine weeks on a tailor-made CLT programme consisting of English lessons and a full social programme.
The group of 15 spent every morning having intensive business English training and each afternoon in practical activities and visits including sightseeing trips, a golf lesson and murder mystery evening where they could put their new language skills into practice.
