Delegates and their families can book onto a course through the Global Mobility team. Then, our Account Managers will liaise directly with the delegate throughout their course. Our Weekly, Intensive and Online language training for relocation classes are personalised for the delegate. They can include, for example, etiquette and business language for the employee and language for every-day situations for the family. Moreover, we discuss the requirements of each delegate individually in order to design a course to meet their needs. Where possible, we try to match the delegate with a tutor who has experience of the industry the delegate works in and who speaks the first language of the delegate.
The success of the language training is monitored through regular feedback from the delegate and tutor. This enables us to ensure that objectives are being met. It also helps us to see if the delegate is progressing to the next level.

We had a telephone conversation to understand the delegate’s current level and requirements. Then he started language training every day for 2 weeks. The aim was to make his transition to life in China much easier. In fact, Cultural Awareness was an important part of the course as life in China is very different to the UK. Our professional tutor used a mixture of resources in the lessons to progress all aspects of Mandarin. The tutor used a Business Mandarin workbook, listening activities, business documents sourced by ZF Services, games and videos. This not only keeps the lessons interesting and fun but gives the delegate an all-round ability in the language.

Bally is a Swiss luxury fashion house synonymous with shoes, bags and accessories. A large group of 11 Bally employees required Italian lessons in the UK before they relocated to the Milan office. The group was a mix of Marketing, PR, Design, Retail and Operations employees.
They had 25 weekly group Italian training for relocation sessions covering Beginners topics in the UK and then continued their lessons with another of our native tutors once they had relocated to Italy. In Italy the classes involved more targeted language so the large group then split down to smaller groups, 1 to 1 and Skype lessons for employees who could not attend face-to-face classes.
