Twenty years ago, German was the most popular language for business. Although it has in recent years been superseded by Spanish and French for business, many key executives still feel that they would rather make the effort and use German when meeting their colleagues and clients than simply rely on the Germans to speak English.
Key members of staff at Thyssenkrupp Elevators, Admedsol, Oracle, Gripple, and O2 have all chosen to undertake German language courses for Business with CLT to help them communicate with German colleagues and clients.
As a preferred supplier of language training to O2 Telefónica, CLT are even arranging business German lessons for their employees based in Munich. Telefónica manager Mr Perez is full of praise for his German tutor in Munich:
“Fernando is an excellent teacher and yesterday’s German lesson was very productive. Although he is very easy-going he is also very demanding. It is just what I need.”
Global companies Siemens and BASF have their Head Offices in Germany, and have chosen CLT to teach business German to key members of staff based in the UK. Although English is viewed as the global language of business, German companies are still keen to ensure that their overseas staff have some knowledge of the language of the parent company.
“The German lessons were well paced, and the materials were excellent. For me, the course was just right.” European Purchasing, Knauf Insulation
