The weekly English for Hospitality classes are held in Hawksmoor’s Air Street restaurant and are open to all employees, which is a great staff benefit. Lachlan is thoroughly enjoying teaching the new group and says they are an engaging group of learners.
As well as working on pronunciation and vocabulary, Lachlan uses original material such as the Hawksmoor menus and staff manual as a basis for discussion and role-plays.
He is keeping the delegates busy with homework which is uploaded to the firm’s Workplace Facebook site. Despite the homework, Lachlan is proving very popular with everyone!
Delegates on the course include commis chefs, kitchen porters, runners, pastry chefs and bar backs.
